HNMCS Robotics has an amazing team of leads who help get day-to-day tasks done, help with challenges, lead extra meetings and so much more! We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing leads!

Team Captain – Maya (she/her)
Maya is a Grade 12 student at HNMCS and has been a dedicated member of team 7659 for four years. As the team captain, she oversees all aspects of the team’s operations, from outreach and strategy to mentoring newer members. In addition to her leadership on the team, she serves on the FIRST Canada Youth Council, where she contributes to shaping the future of youth involvement in STEM across the country

Business Lead – Jona (she/her)
Jona is a Grade 12 student at HNMCS and has been a dedicated member of team 7659 for four years. She plays a key role on the presentation team, where she shares the team’s journey, outreach efforts, and technical accomplishments. Jona also helps train new members of the presentation team, guiding them on how to effectively communicate and represent the team. She also helps design and produce team T-shirts. Jona is also a member of the FIRST Canada Youth Council, where she works to promote student leadership and STEM involvement.

Communications Lead – Megan (she/her)
Megan is a Grade 12 student at HNMCS and has been a dedicated member of team 7659 for four years. She is part of the scouting and media teams. As head of media, Megan leads the creation of visual content, including editing and designing the team’s IMPACT video and other promotional materials. She also designed the team’s buttons. As a member of the scouting team, Megan helps collect and analyze data to support match strategy.

Admin Lead – Simona (she/her)
Simona is a Grade 11 student at HNMCS and has been an active member of team 7659 for three years. She is also a member of the FIRST Canada Youth Council, where she helps promote youth leadership and STEM engagement. On the team, Simona takes a leading role in designing and creating the judges’ booklet, a document that showcases the team’s achievements, outreach efforts, and technical data.
